We call the agent component that runs on the client PCs or servers “Lani Agents”, which is the “LaniClientInventory Service” on the machines. The deployment and update procedures take place when you scan the computers. Normally, everything is handled automatically like selecting the proper version (x86 or x64). Next to the odd tasks of collecting the inventory, the agents provide additional functionality on the clients, such as software usage analysis, Software White or Blacklisting or EXE-logging.
